mazon.com said this past Cyber Monday was its biggest shopping day ever, beating out this year’s Prime Day, the sales holiday the company held in July. Fortune reports that while Amazon has self-proclaimed Cyber Monday to be its highest selling day, the company has yet to release any numbers supporting this claim. This past week, Amazon also stated it sold the most Amazon devices ever over the long holiday weekend, dubbing the sales “Turkey 5” — Thanksgiving day through Cyber Monday. Jeff Wilke, CEO of Amazon’s retail business, said customers ordered “hundreds of millions of products from toys to fashion to electronics and Amazon devices,” and that they ordered nearly “140 million items from small businesses alone.”
